Engaging Students: Fall Service Event (FREE)

Awards Reception to follow Fall Service Event

The purpose of this event is to generate project ideas that engage students in service and to create collaborations between educators, students and organizations. Please join us in recognizing and encouraging outstanding service throughout San Diego County.

This year’s event will feature “best-practice” service projects that focus on our local environment and/or animals in San Diego. You will have the opportunity to meet and greet educators, students and organizations during our networking fair. Following the fair will be a presentation from a guest speaker. Participants will then break out into groups to discuss service project trials and tribulations, brainstorm effective solutions and create new collaborations in a World Café discussion group hosted by the Service-Learning Council. After the World Café, you are invited to attend the Awards Reception where educators/students/organizations will be recognized for their dedication and achievement in providing exceptional service-related environmental opportunities to the students of San Diego.

The Service Learning Council hopes this event will bring organizations, educators, and students together to share ideas and resources for service projects and partnerships, particularly centered on the local environmental and animal related service projects.
