Service-Learning 101 Training Materials
Pre-training Required Readings:
We attempt to cover a wealth of material in the time we have with you. Our goal is for you to understand the fundamentals of service-learning, but also to leave our training with tangible tools and a real feeling of empowerment that you can use service-learning with your students.
At the suggestion of one of our past trainees, we are attempting to make more time for the lesson-modeling and hands-on practice components, by streamlining our "nuts and bolts" into a short pre-training reading assignment.
Please take a look at the following materials. It should take you no more than 10 or 15 minutes and provides the foundation essential for the activities we will be using at the training.
